Christie’s has hired Hawazen Nazieh Nassief as director, Middle East relationship management.
She joins from Olayan Financing Company in Saudi Arabia where she was corporate social responsibility officer.
“I am so looking forward to combining my passion for art, watches and jewellery with my previous business experience in my new role at Christie’s,” said Nassief. “I have already learnt so much and I am delighted to be joining Christie’s at this exciting time.”
Christie’s has a team of 10 people in Dubai led by Michael Jeha, managing director. It opened its office in 2005 and holds sales of modern and contemporary Arab, Iranian and Turkish art twice a year in the Middle East.
As well as helping with this auctions she will also help Middle Eastern clients attending Christie’s main salerooms in New York, London, Paris, Hong Kong and Shanghai. Christie’s says she will be particularly focused on growing business in Saudi Arabia.
Before joining Christie’s, she worked at Investment Enterprises in Jeddah and Kingdom Holding Company in Riyadh.
Nassief completed a Master of Arts in Law and Diplomacy at the Fletcher School of Tufts University in the USA.
