Howden Broking Group, part of Hyperion Insurance Group, has launched a dedicated Fine Art and Specie Division with hires from Lloyd & Partners and Price Forbes.

The operation will be led by managing director Mark Gregson, who has joined Howden from Lloyd & Partners. Gregson brings valuable expert knowledge to Howden, having worked exclusively in Fine Art and Specie for over 15 years.  As senior partner, Specie and Fine Art at Lloyd & Partners, Gregson was responsible for driving all aspects of business development and client retention, designing and placing programmes for major clients globally.

David Fisher, formerly of Price Forbes, takes on the role of director, Fine Art and Specie. Fisher brings additional sector experience to Howden, having originally specialised in Jewellers Block and Precious Metals, before becoming director of the Fine Art and Specie Team at Price Forbes.

Adrian Colosso, CEO of Howden Broking Group said: “From my own Fine Art and Specie experience, I know the importance of understanding the market and providing clients with a specialised service that’s backed-up by tailored solutions.  By launching a dedicated Fine Art and Specie Division we significantly enhance our capabilities, not only in London but globally, as we capitalise on Mark and David’s industry knowledge and expertise in placing Fine Art business worldwide.

“The team is already working closely with colleagues on opportunities in Latin America, Spain and Eastern Europe, where they are providing clients with Cash in Transit, Exhibition and other Fine Art solutions.  We will build on this strong start, developing this specialist area of our business in line with the needs of our clients.”
