Trojan Battery prepares to launch new deep-cycle battery at Intersolar Europe
Trojan Battery, the deep-cycle battery manufacturer, will launch a new line of deep-cycle Solar AGM batteries at the Intersolar exhibition in Munich, Germany, at the end of May.
The new line has been designed specifically for solar applications, and the company said it would be the first in a series of new solar batteries that would be available some time this year.
Trojan will also showcase a microgrid project in Colombia for which it has been named a finalist in the ‘Outstanding Solar Project’ award at the conference. The microgrid powers five communities in the South American country Trojan deep-cycle industrial batteries.
Trojan uses Smart Carbon in all of its industrial and premium flooded battery lines. This is a proprietary formula, which has been developed so that batteries can operate better in partial state of charge, therefore suitable for many applications in which the battery is under charged on a regular basis.
